The ground plane, designed to feel inviting and open, will provide a vibrant mix of food and drink offers, community, and health focused spaces.
Canada Water Dockside will be home to three new exceptional ‘headquarter’ buildings, designed by BIG and other pioneering practices to provide 1.5m square feet of office space – workspaces for businesses.
Designed by acclaimed practices including Townshend Landscape Architects, the new public spaces will be welcoming and interactive.
New pedestrianised streets will be created, threaded with lush planting and an abundance of seating and equipment to encourage connection and play.
Chosen in collaboration with local ecology experts, native flower, shrub and tree species will increase biodiversity and provide habitat for local wildlife.
A new waterfront square will form the heart of the development and will have space for a small market, pop-up events and performances, and street furniture for eating and socialising throughout the day and evening.
With office space above, the ground floors of all three buildings will be open to all, creating a buzz of places to eat.
Across the three buildings, more than 100,000 square feet of workspace will be available to small and local businesses at affordable rents.
In partnership with the NHS local clinical care group, we will provide a community health hub.
